Kick off the holiday season with renowned cartoonist and Mutt’s creator Patrick McDonnel! We’ll socialize in the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art’s gallery, listen to Mr. McDonnel share stories about this career, and peruse (or purchase!) signed copies of his latest book.

Come on out to the new Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art (MoCCA) gallery in SoHo for the Cartoonist Alliance’s annual presentation of world-renowned cartoonists. This year’s featured artist is Patrick McDonnell, the creator of the celebrated nationally syndicated comic strip, Mutts! Mr. McDonnell will talk about his career as a cartoonist and the genesis of Mutts, while drawing his (and your) favorite Mutts characters along the way.

Books will be available for purchase and signing by the Mr. McDonnell, so bring along some extra cash! Imagine what a great gift an autographed copy would make.

Doors will open at 7pm, and refreshments will be served as guests socialize while taking in MoCCA’s gallery and artwork. Patrick’s interactive discussion and art demo will begin at 7:45, followed by the book signing.

The Cartoonist Alliance is a special interest group of the Graphic Artists Guild of New York. They meet the second Wednesday of every month at MoCCA, 594 Broadway (between Houston and Prince Streets), Suite 401. For more information, email ozker5@earthlink.net.
