Picture Show needs volunteers on the day of the show (Oct 20) who can assist us with pre-event set-up, activities during the event, or post-event clean-up. Both Guild and non-Guild members are welcome to volunteer.
Volunteers are welcome to walk around during the show but are not allowed to promote themselves to the Art Directors. Please do not bring promotional materials or business cards to the show.
Benefits
Volunteering is a great way to discover the business of illustration and learn what the Guild is all about. Additionally, all volunteers will be allowed to attend one future Guild event free of charge.Shifts
The following are time slots for which we need volunteers along with a brief description of the activities:
Pre-event (1-4 pm)
Activities include: setting up tables and chairs, preparing the coat room, and placing easels and signage. We may not need you to stay the full three hours but please be available for that time.
During the event (5-9 pm)
Activities include: Greeting/check-in of attendees at the door, coat room check, handing out give-aways by the entrance, bartending, and kitchen help. We also need 2 Guild members to staff a table promoting the Guild.
Post event (9-10:30 pm)
Activities include: breaking down tables and cleaning up food and garbage.
